Cookie Policy

What this covers
This page explains the cookies and similar browser storage used on nabinaghosh.com, what our consent banner controls, and how to change or reset your choice at any time.
Consent banner
The first time you visit, a small banner in the bottom-left corner asks whether we may use
Google Analytics cookies. Your answer is saved in your browser’s
localStorage under the key ngcsi-ga-consent, with a value of
accepted or declined. This preference is not itself a cookie, but
we mention it here for the sake of transparency.
If you accept
If you accept, Google Analytics 4 (G-0DS0DRRTKE) may set first-party analytics cookies such
as _ga and _ga_*. These help it recognise returning visitors and
measure traffic in the usual way. For more on these, see
Google’s cookie information.
If you decline
If you decline, GA4 still loads through Google’s Advanced Consent Mode, but
no analytics cookies are set. Instead, GA4 sends only cookieless,
anonymised measurement pings — no _ga cookies are ever written to your browser.
Ahrefs Web Analytics
Ahrefs Web Analytics runs on every visit and, according to Ahrefs, does not use cookies at all. Because it sets no cookies, it sits outside the consent banner. You can read more in our Privacy Policy.
Other storage
Embedded YouTube players may set cookies if you interact with a video. Wherever possible we
use the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com embed to keep this to a minimum.
Reset your preferences
You can change your mind at any time. To withdraw or update your analytics cookie choice, use the button below. It clears your stored preference and reloads the page, so the consent banner appears again and GA4 returns to cookieless mode until you choose Accept.
