poem: death of a loved one

death is a hurt
like a relief
of the pain
of a thorn pulled out

death is a purging
a letting of blood
except it hurts others
more than it does the dead

but that hurt is a relief
like the pain
of a thorn pulled out

for one is never loved completely.
